Every year Atlanta Knitting Guild brings in a "SuperStar" knitting teacher to speak and teach to our members and guests. To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of AKG, Ann Budd will be our special "SuperStar" teacher!
AKG is excited to welcome Ann Budd for our SuperStar Weekend event. Ann will be our special speaker at our September meeting on Thursday, September 4th, followed by classes Friday, September 5th thru Sunday, September 7th.
Ann Budd is known nationally and internationally as a designer, teacher, writer, editor, and knitting cruise organizer. Ann has a website and blog and is featured on Craftsy and Ravelry. Her publications include a Handy Book of Sweater Design, Top Down Sweaters, Knitting Green, and books on top down and toe up socks, scarves, gifts, style, and yarn requirements. She plans knitting cruises and teaches around the country in such venues as Stitches and knitting guilds.
Classes offered for the SuperStar Weekend are:
Friday, September 5 – Sweaters from the Top Down – 9am-Noon
Friday, September 5 - Sweaters from the Top Down - 1pm-4pm
Saturday, September 6 – Cast-on Techniques - 9am-Noon
Saturday, September 6- Bind-Off Techniques – 1pm - 4pm
Sunday, September 7 – Introductory Sweater Design – 9am-Noon
Sunday, September 7 - Socks at Any Gauge – 1pm-4pm
