Atlanta Knitting Guild

a community of makers who share a passion for knitting

The Atlanta Knitting Guild is a community of makers who share a passion for knitting. Knitters of all skill levels come together to inspire and encourage, teach and learn, and motivate and support others.

We organize monthly programs, workshops and informal meetups for our diverse group of knitters, fostering an informative and welcoming environment for all. Members are encouraged to contribute their talents and resources to the Guild and to their surrounding communities.

Knit for a Cause

The Atlanta Knitting Guild encourages members to use their talents in support of charities in the Metro Atlanta area. We strive to meet the needs o others in the Metro Atlanta region.

We host member-led discussions on socks, knitting tips and tricks, holiday gift-giving ideas and more!

Get Involved

The members of AKG are a diverse group with varying skill levels and styles, and a broad range of fiber interests. What we have in common is our shared passion for knitting. We welcome all who are interested in being part of our community to join, explore all of our activities and get to know us.

Annual benefits include:

Free admission to general in-person or virtual Guild meetings, and advance registration and discounted pricing to special events, including Superstar weekends and mini-workshops.

Enjoy the fun, camaraderie and social interaction that happens at our meetings! Monthly, interact with a guest speaker,  learn from each other, and share amazing projects. Join us for social knitting on different days at different locations around Atlanta and simply enjoy knitting with others.

Password-protected access for the members-only services and features of the Guild website. These benefits include meeting video recordings, speaker handouts, prior editions of the newsletter and a membership directory.

Zoom KAL's are free for members to attend. Each KAL features a pattern using a different technique, and are selected to be fun for all knitting skill levels, and suitable for multi-tasking. The group shares tips, color selection, progress, setbacks, and encouragement.
