Lace: The Princess Bride and her mawwaige garb
Thursday, June 6th at 7:00 PM (Social Hour is 6:30 – 7:00pm)
This month kicks off the Atlanta Knitting Guild’s Annual Film Festival. We are bringing forward the popular medieval camp film “The Princess Bride” to introduce our members to lace knitting. How popular was it for brides? Do only princesses get to wear it? Can we mere mortals knit it, too, as we prepare for stormin’ the castle?
With all of the fabulous lace knitting planned this year, finishing with our SuperStar in October, what better way to learn about this delicate, beautiful form that is a challenge to the mind and a delight to the eyes! After we’re done, you won’t need Miracle Max’s magic pills whilst you discover the “twuu love” of lace.
Stitch and Pitch
Saturday, June 29th, 2013 4:00pm
Thanks to Mother Nature having a sense of humor, our Stitch and Pitch game on May 4 has been delayed. The Braves were gracious enough to let us choose our own make up game for this fun event. So . . . Saturday, June 29 it is! An afternoon (4:00) game against the Arizona Diamondbacks should be a great time to be had by all. Knitting, baseball, and more knitting! What could be better? If you want to come to this game, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get ya set up!
If you have an idea for a program for our monthly meetings, please let us know by sending an email to: email@example.com
